So today I don't wanna post anything about myself, but present you one of my favorite bloggers out there, namely Steffy from
Steffys Pros and Cons!
Steffy and I have prepared "questions&answers" and I was thinking that I could maybe make a series out of this and present you other bloggers who I love (maybe once every few months). Let me know if you like this idea or not!
Steffy's blog has fascinated me since the first moment when I (accidently) came across it! Her style is very unique and vintage, which i totally LOVE. On top of that, most of her clothes are from thrift stores, which make them even more special :)
I did not ask Steffy the very typical questions (e.g. how would you describe your style) but rather tried to focus on questions which might interest other people from a blogger's perspective as well.
Why did you start your own blog?
because i like to have my life on paper to look back on, and because its fun!
What other blogger would you love to meet in person?
i would love to meet bonnie from flashes of style. she seems so sweet i think we would get along!
You update your blog very frequently. How many hours a day do you "invest" into your blog?
i would say probably 2 hours a day. sometimes less sometimes more.
Besides your blog you also run an adorable shop (tea & tulips), where people can actually purchase the outfits you present on your blog. What recommendation would you give people if they wanna start their own shop? i would say... start on a site like etsy/ebay where there is a lot of traffic. and make sure the items are ones people can only find in a specialty store online like yours.
How long does it take until you find some cute clothes in thrift-stores (hours? minutes?...)?
it depends on the day. some days i find a lot of great stuff, some days i leave with nothing :) i usually spend an hour at least in a store, unless it has really awful stuff then i dont spend more than 10 minutes.
Do you have a strategy when you thrift? What catches your attention?
it also depends on how much of a rush i am in. but i usually try to focus on unique patterns, colors that pop out at me, anything that pops out at me will also pop out to the shoppers in my store, so i keep that in mind. i also focus on cute collars... anything polka dots or peter pan collared i cant pass up!
How much money do you spend on clothes each month?
too much :)
Your photos often have this romantic and charming atmosphere. Which editing program do you use?
honestly, i just correct my photos a tiny bit in iphoto. i usually add a bit more pink to the coloring, add a bit of contrast. matt just takes great pictures, so for that i am thankful!
Do you have a fashion tip for my readers?
keep it fun! and never take getting dressed too seriously!
Have a great weekend my loves and definitely go check out Steffy's blog, it really is worth it :)
xoxo, Saskia
